About Emily:

When Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of New England and the Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies, she emerged with a passion to create the Health Sanctuary.

The Health Sanctuary consists of a range of natural health practitioners (see below) specialising in many different modalities. Emily is the resident Naturopath, as well as co-ordinator of the Health Sanctuary.

Emily’s passion for health began when a Naturopath helped her recover from a serious bout of Glandular Fever. Since her recovery, she celebrates a passion for life and good health.

What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is an umberella term for many different tools that can be used to bring one back into balance. These are herbal medicines, nutrition, homoeopathy and bush/Bach flower remedies. This tool kit provides Emily with remedies primarily to bring you to a state of health so as to prevent serious illness. They also balance the body in the event that it is experiencing imbalance or disease.

Emily believes in a gentle approach and works with her clients to achieve their health and wellbeing goals. She helps each client to make easy and simple changes that will have a profound impact on their health.

Emily has successfully treated many health issues ranging from skin conditions to infertility and hormonal imbalances, headaches, digestive disturbances, candida and childhood illnesses.

Working with babies:

Emily has extensive knowledge of early childhood development through her years of nannying and her work with HIV-suffering orphans in Tanzania, Africa in 2009.

Emily works with new mums and their babies, providing support to establish routines, assisting with breast or bottle feeding regimes, identifying and alleviating allergies & skin conditions and establishing consistent sleep patterns.
